Find people to go bowling with in Austin
Bowling is one of the easiest things to do with people you've just met: you take turns, nobody has to be good, and there's plenty of time to talk between frames. The only hard part is getting enough people to fill a lane. nCommon fixes that.
Fill a lane
Post "Bowling Thursday at 7, three spots" with the area, and people nearby who like bowling see it. They ask to join, you say yes, and the chat opens for the details. A lane usually fits a handful of people, so a small group plan works well.
Any level is fine
Say what kind of night it is: "Casual, bumpers welcome", "A few games and food", or "I bowl most weeks, looking for a regular group". People pick the nights that suit them. If it goes well, make it a standing plan.
Tips for a bowling night in Austin
- Weekend nights get busy. Weeknights are easier to get a lane, and many alleys take reservations.
- Check what's included. Some places price by the game and some by the hour, and shoe rental is usually extra.
- Pick a spot with food if you're meeting people for the first time, so there's something to do before and after.
How nCommon works
- Post a plan for now or later: what you're doing, roughly where, and whether you want one other person or a small group.
- Or join one. Plans near you show on a map and in a list. Ask to join, and the host says yes before the chat opens.
- Public places only. A plan shows a venue or an area, never anyone's home address.
- For friendship, not dating. It's about the thing you want to do and the people who want to do it too.
